Gerry Dawes at Lhardy, one of Madrid's greatest delicatessens. This historic place dates to the 19th Century and has a full service restaurant upstairs. Stopping between noon and 2 pm for a cup of bouillon, spiked with a Sherry of your own choosing (and pour) and accompanied by a self-service canape and a glass of cool water from a samovar, is a venerated Madrid custom.
