Well, famous chefs, American and Spanish, and famous culinary figures, writers and artists are not the only ones seen with Sunset in a Glass: Adventures of a Food and Wine Road Warrior in Spain Enchanced Photography Edition Volume I.
I couldn't find a culinary figure tonight (May 24, 2022(, so I had to settle for what I could get. Gerry Dawes with President Bill Clinton and Kay Balun with Bill Clinton at Ibiza Restaurant by Ignacio Blanco in Chappaqua, New York tonight. I signed the book to President Bill Clinton and to President Hillary Clinton, since they both won their elections.
My great friend Don Lucio Blázquez, perhaps the most famous restaurateur in Madrid, the equivalent of Sirio Maccione running P. J. Clarke´s. Friend of Bill Clinton, several Prime Ministers of Spain, many movie stars and sports personalities and a fan of Atletico de Madrid futbol club. Lucio with my book Sunset in a Glass: Adventures of a Food and Wine Road Warrior in Spain.
Last night, May 24, I showed Bill Clinton these photos of our mutual friend Lucio and he told the people he was having dinner with how much he likes Lucio and Casa Lucio.

Shall deeds of Caesar or Napoleon ring
More true than Don Quixote's vapouring?
Hath winged Pegasus more nobly trod
Than Rocinante stumbling up to God?

About Gerry Dawes
My good friend Gerry Dawes, the unbridled Spanish food and wine
enthusiast cum expert whose writing, photography, and countless

Americans—and especially American food professionals—to my country's
culinary life." -- Chef-restaurateur-humanitarian José Andrés, Nobel
Peace Prize Nominee and Oscar Presenter 2019

(National Gastronomy Award) in 2003. He writes and speaks frequently on

Catalan star chef, Ferran Adrià.
".
. .That we were the first to introduce American readers to Ferran Adrià
in 1997 and have ever since continued to bring you a blow-by-blow
narrative of Spain's riveting ferment is chiefly due to our Spanish
correspondent, Gerry "Mr. Spain" Dawes, the messianic wine and food
journalist raised in Southern Illinois and possessor of a
self-accumulated doctorate in the Spanish table. Gerry once again
brings us up to the very minute. . ." - - Michael & Ariane
